Indian Princess

she sits by the fire
surrounded by limestone
and dying wildflowers
holding herself in her arms
her eyes smiling at the dancing flames
of yesterday’s summer sun

This piece was great! It felt like the fire and “yesterday’s summer sun” were representations of a brighter, livelier time in the life of the princess.
