there I told you so
I always thought there wasn’t
much diversity in wildflowers
whether growing out of the ground
or painted on walls
the longer I hang out here the more
I’m convinced it has nothing
to do with the questions
you cannot see the spectrum of colors
inside your own eyes
yet you can experience
everything behind the clouds
and when there are no clouds
(in the sky)
you can simply lean back
and quietly say there
I told you so

Love this. Got carried away trying to share. Love it
thanks for sharing, fellow poet
this makes me smile.
that’s great, thank you 🙂
to quote one of your tweets….
“time says nothing back but I told you so” – Jakob Dylan
did this inspire you?
that’s hard to say since I had just listened to that specific song two days after writing this poem (which is a bit eerie in and of itself). I don’t think that song inspired this poem, but perhaps subconsciously….
