when all we have is candlelight
these usual twists and turns
are nothing but sunshine
coming and going as she pleases
celebrating your finest achievements
exposing your greatest fears
exactly how she arrived here
is nobody’s business
but she’s not about to go anywhere
which is more than most of us can say
on any sunny morning
it’s hard to tell what time it is
on a cloudy afternoon
sunshine merely a recent memory
dancing inside elusive daydreams
luring you way past midnight
november two thousand seventeen

Very beautiful poetry, my friend 🙂
Thank you very much, Moz.
John, is this in a collection you have published? I’d like to buy your latest book.
I wrote this poem last night. I will rarely post an old poem on my blog, but I will certainly tweet links to my older ones. I hope to put out a new collection this winter but probably not until after the new year. My last collection is entitled “Forty-five Revolutions per Minute” and you can find a link to Amazon on my blog’s front page.
Lara, thank you so much for your support and friendship, I’m forever grateful.
Thank you!
