Hypnosis
Before opening up
believe in going back
where you understand most clearly
reasons for soliciting past-time travels
Tarnished pendulum swings
somewhat rhythmically
testing your peripheral and recessive vision
its motion repetitively pleasant
and incessantly inviting
Even insomnia can’t match the power
of precocious preoccupation
the subconscious mind questioning
suggestions from the beholder
During the reverie certain epiphanies
reveal themselves
standing alone and with merit
their undying truths
in need of further discovery

very very deep
I’ve never been under hypnosis so this poem is merely a stab in the dark – thank you for commenting, Trace.
This gets deeper the more you read it.
hey Denise, thanks for reading and rereading and commenting on this one…still trying to figure it out myself!
LOL – you’re funny.
I think it’s secretly “HIPnosis,” and it’s about being mesmerized by Shakira’s belly dancing. 🙂
Love that video, “Hips Don’t Lie.”
People enter trance many times a day, so you may “formally” believe you may not know much about hypnosis, yet you already do.
thanks so much for visiting and commenting on this piece ~ an interesting topic to be sure
