bedtime stories

I’ve got this feeling
the world is descending
into total chaos
and no government
or virus or drug is going
to stop the slide

forget about any steal or lie
there is simply
a disturbing progression
toward deadlier weapons
& even more potent
contraband

how do you tell your children
this is not what living
is supposed to be like
& what stories
can you possibly tell them
come bedtime

  1. I really think you’ve got life, such as it is, nailed perfectly. And I couldn’t agree with you more.

  2. This is sadly true. You really hit it on the head here and it’s unfortunate that it’s probably only to get worse.

  3. Agree with you totally.
