radioactive

creeping through the soil
like an earthworm
it has no destination

watch your step
you don’t know where
those rocks have been

alchemists assay
ancient elements
in search of black magic

wolves of chernobyl
teach resistance
to their little ones

walking hospital hallways
cancer patients
pray for miracles

  1. Love the transitions here J !

  2. I find myself at times searching for ancient elements like prayer and sage to make sense of many things. Something beyond logic that still keeps me going.
Earthworms, wolves, hospital halls, It reminds me how much we’re all just trying to make sense of things, hold on, and hope for something better. Even in the darkness.

    Nicely written Mr. Waters 😊
