I almost died a few times
and each time
I came back with a flurry
swinging my arms and
bobbing and weaving
like a boxer skylarking
inside the ropes
whatever doesn’t kill you
makes you stronger
isn’t always the case
but when it is this grandiose
notion sets in
that nothing can defeat you
not even death
