En Prise

You can’t force it
she said.
It was then I realized
I kept making decisions
without thinking
what might happen
to my beautiful Queen.

Lost and searching
for something magical
to capture my eye
I slowly realized
my quest for patience
was nothing more
than an elusive wish.

  1. This is really quite haunting and lovely.

  2. Your poems are filled with so much longing..It is perhaps why they appeal so much to me. I feel that you can almost feel what I feel..But you say it with such perfection. You have the gift for conveying emotions in the most natural but unusual way…
