Sharp Knife
I found your mirror
when looking for something
in the walk-in closet,
the oval, black-framed one
with the ivory handle.
A lightning bolt crack
shot down from top
to bottom, carving my face
with a sharp knife
misplaced years ago.

Thanks so much, Pam. I greatly appreciate your visits here.
Superb! It intrigues me too!
Thanks so much for revisiting my poetry blog, Lola. So happy you enjoyed this one, too!
I think I am going to buy your book!
Is there any way of getting it in print? I like poetry in print form.
sorry, do not have in book form yet, but if you DM me your email addy on twitter I will email you the adobe reader version, that way you could print it yourself.
The very same thing happened to me, when I found out of a loved ones secret. Loved this piece dear friend.
So glad you liked this one, Denise. Thank you. jw
