you are not alone

do not forget the promises I made
for they were not made in haste
but rather rarefied love

I’ve stashed memories inside lockets
buried in places I plan to revisit
before leaving this world for good

along the way I’ll chart my steps
all one hundred and one
and save them to my heart

one day you’ll rediscover my design
promises coming back to life
one rising star at a time
