on moving day

it’s been a while since painting
my favorite crescent moon
recently asking
why shouldn’t I give it another go

I swear I’ve been there before
places we dream about
places destined to be discovered
before anyone else does

it’s been a while since packing
my traveling bags
leaving behind everything
I’m willing to let go
