poetry by j matthew waters

one last kiss

i dreamed the new year
never arrived
and i was left on the shore
listening to the moon
kissing the sea

as i walked along
a restlessness stirred
reminding me
you are always near

january two thousand thirteen

    I like your reading.

I didn’t know I hadn’t read the WHOLE poem on twitter! Funny then, what that says of poetry. In the short bit I read, you’d given an impression, a statement… and then there was more!

    Like it 🙂

  4. Beautiful … a reminder that we never forget someone we have loved very much! They are still with us.

  5. This is beautiful.
