born into a disconnected world
thousands of years back or forwards
angry young men
count using hands and feet
and algorithms buried
beneath the rubble
without warning there is no danger
there are only unexplained explosions
breathing new life
into a universe dying to attract
everything that is beautiful
inside a perfect circle
august two thousand thirteen

This poem says so many things about the state of the world…interesting
I sometimes wonder if the state of the world has ever really changed much – I hope all is well nightlake 😀
Think the world has not changed in mentality, but only advanced in technology. Thank you and hope you are well
Interesting that I read this poem as I was just reading this morning about the origin of the alphabet. For thousands of years man has tried to connect and make sense of the world. In so many ways, I think we still have no idea where we, as a race we are heading to. Do you?
I don’t think we know either, Lola. Seems we continue to focus more on our differences than our similarities (if that makes any sense).
