face-to-face relations

the mystery unfolds like an
expanding universe
unraveling countless motives
to mayhem and madness

traveling back in time permits
peering further ahead
until standing face-to-face
to a renewed self without shame

despite our asymmetrical lives
thou shalt not kill me
nor put me to the test
lest you endure an appropriate
and undying consequence

march two thousand fourteen

  1. Had to look up Levinas – will delve further into his philosophy – very interesting and a beautiful poem! K
