escape from within
caught on thin ice
i suddenly became lost
like a runaway kite
my cheeks busting
eyes leery yet fearless
of the insane cracks
daring my bladed soles
to never stop flying
july two thousand twelve

Very nicely put! I love this one! You really have a gift for amazing poetry that seems to be simple, yet it is not!
Thanks so much, Lola, I’m so glad you enjoyed this poem. JW
I did!!! I like fleeting poems, just like kites trying to get away…. 🙂
You have an amazing sensibility- very rare nowadays!
Thanks so much, Lola, I appreciate you coming back time and again. 🙂
