somewhere near the equator

rhythm walked down the
brick road of jakarta
offering everyone
yellow roses
and exotic wishes

seven thousand islands
usher in oceans
pretending attention
is the last thing
on her beautiful mind

  1. Mahal kong kaibigan, I love the 2nd stanza, it is very true. she needs the attention she can get. though right now, pretending she doesn’t is really the last thing on her mind. I don’t like the yellow roses and exotic wishes, because although there is truth to it, as in every country there will be yellow roses and exotic wishes, she has so much more to offer than that, love, as every lovely country does. Thanks for thinking of my motherland. and Happy, happy birthday, sweet friend.
