Chapter Five
from the book of revelation
the boss
held his possessions closely
encrypted them within seven seals
the pain he must feel
becomes real tears streaming
live down so many faces
pelted with insults his child
refuses to die
reaches out to a world
programmed to never understand
their own ransom
new generations give forth
a sense of promise
offering peace on earth (for the)
next thousand years
newly created criminals
and their invisible entourage
emerge as expected
floating like butterflies and
stinging like bees
august two thousand fourteen

Scary!
well, maybe not Archie….
the third stanza is a stunner – wonderful take on the prophecy and current events – very cool write, John – K
thought I’d give this chapter a try – thanks so much, K
Very apt for the time.. the stinging butterfly reminds me of “bullet with butterfly wings”
A great song – thanks for the comment, Björn.
That is a great song, but I was thinking of Ali when I read it
Astounding series…
Thank you, Rose…I thought of Ali as well. So glad you are enjoying these poems….
