and then we laughed like nothing had ever happened
they swept in from the northwest
just as the dipper came into focus
wings spread wide and soaring
revealing ever brighter lights
they relaxed their claws
releasing scarlet and golden petals
falling like confetti
drifting and fading
manipulated by a friendly wind
whistling and
whispering
I heard from an old friend
there is still magic in the skies
and if you give yourself plenty of time
it will one day make you cry
may two thousand sixteen

I feel that I should refrain from looking at the sky.
I think it’s okay as long as you are wearing your shades.
