back in the shack
you’ll find it in the middle of somewhere
surrounded by a fog in a field of woods
discoverable through a natural maze
filled with a variety of wildflowers
walking through the door you swear
you became someone other than yourself
and the moment you sit and open your mind
the shack is filled with a beautiful light

Memory and mystery rolled up in one. Excellent work, J!
Thanks so much, Millie!
To enter that realm behind that door.. I think I want to add some firewood and look into the fire…
That’s an excellent idea, Björn!
LOVE THIS! Have you ever read any of my Last Really Good Shack stories? This is absolutely a perfect description of how that place felt to me – hugs!
Yes, I remember reading some of them – perhaps they subconsciously sparked this little poem!
So true, an open mind brings things to light ~ we begin to understand & see the beauty within and around us. A lovely poem 🙂
thanks for visiting here again Loredana and commenting on this poem 🙂
